This week was full of reunions!! Two surprise reunions with president! They were great. Very inspiring. I came out of those reunions totally edified. We must not fear. Fear no one! :)
Update on Alexandra: she's doing wonderfully. We gave her a tour of the church and she is really happy to get baptized. She just wants to be taught more. ya ye! ha ha that's great because we have lots to teach! She's really preparing herself for the 22 of Nov. :) I know everything will turn out the way the Lord wants it to if we do our part. :) Unfortunately, she moved this week also.... to the other side of the street!! so shes still ours! ha ha actually, now she's the elders', but they said keep teaching her.
Well, cool story of the week...
Wednesday, we went with a less active family. we had planned to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but suddenly, the mom was like "I want to have a testimony so I can also say that I KNOW this is the Church of Jesus Christ! How do I do it?" And then we were like... hmm... Hna chim read the invitation from Moroni in the introduction and then she was like "OK cool." And we were like "how about we read a little with you guys today!?" and they were happy with the idea. We asked what they wanted to learn about and the dad said faith. So, we read Alma 32 with the family. The Spirit was so strong. We got about half way through and asked the mom, Monica, how she felt. She told us that she thought that was her answer. She said she felt like the chapter was talking directly to her and that she felt so nice. We invited them to read the rest of the chapter and then pray about it. They cheerfully accepted the challenge! :) It was so cool. The Spirit was seriously so strong and it just felt sooooo nice and peaceful. I love it!! That was truly a miracle because Monica's heart was a lot harder a couple of weeks ago when we first started meeting with them. I know that the Lord is guiding us and that when we are diligent and obedient that He blesses us with these kinds of experiences. :)
Its truly a beautiful life. Not when you live stuck in the world, but rather when you live in the world, but you're not of the world, like Jesus said. I love life. Its hard sometimes, but I know these trials are opportunities for us to exercise the attributes of Christ that we're all trying to acquire :) One day we'll all come to the knowledge that Jesus is the Messiah. I never thought I was going to be one of those crazy Jesus people, but now that I have seen and FELT the HUGE change in my life, I can't not be one. I know that He is the Savior of our souls! :D I know that Satan is soooo very astute, but I know that if we don't let go of the iron rod, (the word of God), we'll stay on the path and avoid all the unnecessary wandering around and falling around.
I love you all! Thank you for all the love and support. I really mean it! :) I really appreciate it! My only plead is.... be good. no, be just. Be just people. :)
the church is true! I promise!!
love,
Hermana Leah Tangedal
