First off, I have a daughter!! Ha ha ha that meas I'm training a new missionary. Her name is Hna Colque from Cochabamba, Bolivia. She is 24 and was studying medicine. We get along great and are having a great time re-opening Santa Anita!! :D Its awesome!
Well, Monday to Wednesday, Hna Mantilla and I were comps while we awaited the arrival of our new companions. We worked in .... get ready... El Eden!!! where I was happily reunited with my old friends!! It was a great experience and I met people that I DEFINITELY FEEL I knew before if you know what I'm saying!! :) It was awesome. Then I got my daughter Thursday! It was a great experience! :) She's stoked to teach and be an awesome missionary. The president and his wife really made us feel super good in our reunion of trainers :) I definitely feel super happy and excited and capable of training my "daughter" well :) So far, we are off to a great start! and she's stoked to learn English!!
Friday, Hna Colque had to go to a reunion that she missed, so I stayed back in San Carlos (ha ha like I never left!) with HNA SZERDI!! ya ye!! It was great! We had a super great time! She's going through some tough stuff, like everyone, so we had a good crying sesh. That was awesome. I love living my baptismal covenants! Mosiah 18 y'all!! :) We had an incredible experience! soooo we went to this door where we have a future investigator, his name is Juan and he is 12. Well, his friend gave him a BOM and taught him about it. We tried to teach Juan, but he already knew everything. He is half way through reading the book of Mormon and he is reading it every night. He says that he knows it's true and it helps him sleep better every night. Wut! I read the dedication that his 12 year old friend wrote in the book. I seriously teared. It was so beautiful. We asked him what he liked most about his friendship. He said that the family is just different. They have a special spirit and he was always helping his friend. Man, yo. Everyone, please be member missionaries. this 12 year old is amazing and even wants to be a missionary. He's gotta be baptized first, but it was just a testimony to me about how effective just... loving people is and sharing the gospel. Share it with everyone. share it with the people you love. if we don't share the gospel..... I think we are bad friends. its amazing. :)
Experience that brought me a bunch of joy today. Ha ha we didn't know what we wanted to do with our day, so we decided to come to the artisan market in the center of Quito. We got on the trolley and my comp was telling me a story, but I was just completely distracted, the Spirit was telling me "get off!" and I ignored it a few times, but then I remembered how can I be asking for the Spirit and then when I have it, not do what it says?? So, I told my companion and we got off the trolley, we waited and the next one came. I explained what was happening and she understood. Then we came to a stop... and we accidentally got off at the wrong stop, ha ha whoops.- but there is a purpose to everything right? So we got on the next trolley and then this 25ish year old guy starts offering help because we were a little confused to where we should go. He said that he was going near to where we were going, so we got off and walked together. Then, he explained where we had to go to, and then said it was a pleasure meeting us and was bummed because he didn't have one of his business cards to leave with us, but we still have some of "He is the gift cards!" So we left him one and told him that whenever he wants to come to church, to give us a call, and then he was like, "actually yes!! I have heard a lot about your church and I want to know more!!" It was crazy! Then we left... and I just felt the spirit sooooooooo strong, like sooo happy.
Guys, there is a great joy when we follow the spirit. Sometimes, its weird, but just do it :) I am so happy that our Heavenly Father loves us and is helping us along the way. I just feel like my life is falling into place :) happy with it all!
I love you all and I pray for you all the time! Just holla atcha gurl when you need something! :)
The church is true and nothing else matters!!! :D
Love you!
