The work doesnt stop. God has everything perfectly planned (November 24, 2014)

This week was rough, but worth it. well... Wednesday, it rained super hard. Of course, duh I dot have an umbrella. We were run walking to the chapel to get to family home evening... and what happens?  Ha ha so we're like mas o menos dryish under Hna Chims umbrella and then, we hear a horn honk and look back and some butthead ran through a lake sized puddle and we were hit by a tidal wave hahahah.    It was super funny though because we came to church late and completely soaking and everyone saw me....so I jokingly shook myself like a dog and everyone started laughing.... ha ha ha, not at me, rather with me... I hope. ha ha hah.
Alexandra has her baptism this Saturday. She is super happy, but she just wants us to come everyday. It's a little hard because she works until 8 and we should be back in the house by 9 but its do able. We hope that she gets baptized this week, but if not, its ok :)   We don't want to rush anything and we want her to be completely sure ;:)   She is so great though. we taught about tithing and she was like "yeah! some friend told me about this yesterday and I want to do it now!!"   She wants to pay her tithe this week! What a champ! I love her!!   She is progressing so well. Her son Johnathan is also progressing. if Alexandra doesn't get baptized, this week, she will in 2 weeks and I think Johnathan will too :)   they are solid. I love people from the coast! They are so fun! :)
We have a  new mamita for Thursdays! yaye! haha she owns a seafood restaurant.. but this isn't seafood. This is..... something delicious!!!!   Like seriously delicious. she is also from the coast. hmm.... ahaha  but I'm happy about that. She is a less active member that some members found in a taxi ride!! Haha it's funny how the Lord plans everything! :)
After a great deep conversation with my president of the branch, I have been changed. Like the veil is thinner. idk. Right after I decided to do all that I can to live up to my potentials, we contacted a family that came to church the next day and loved it. We are finding people who are prepared. I know it.

Well, some of our recent converts from September broke our hearts yesterday. The husband, Edwin, said that he wants to investigate another church and some other stuff. It was super tough. Hna Chim started to cry so I had to take it all. The spirit just talked through me. It was amazing. Well basically, Edwin wants to get closer to God, but he is not doing anything to do it. I asked them (his wife too) if they remember the 3 things we always always invite them to do. They said... prayer, reading the BOM, and going to church, and I said yes.   Then I (the spirit) said these three and simple things are what will help you get closer to God, like we have PROMISED.  "do you feel like you have been completing the invitation to pray as a family?"  They dropped their heads and said no. "Do you feel like you have been completing with the invitation to read the book of Mormon?" They answered even sadder, no. " Do you feel like you have been completing with the invitation to attend church?" Again, they said no... and they realized themselves that they have not been doing anything of their part. It was really sad, but I'm happy that they realized it. Then,,, about 30 minutes later, Hna Chim spoke. She only shared a scripture in Mosiah about diligence, and said a few words. Very powerful words. we left them with the compromise to read the chapter that we gave them. We are going to see them right now and I hope they have done it. If not.. we are going to see what happens... it's a tough and heart breaking to just see that they haven't been able to savour the sweetness of the gospel. but I know they will soon
Something in my being changed this week. the only advice that I have for everyone is go to the temple, do family history work, read your scriptures and get closer to God because the time is at hand. The missionary work cannot stop. It will not even if you do and you will be left behind. Again a testimony and remember that Jesus loves you. He truly gave us the aopportunity to change and be able to return to the presence of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that Thomas S. Monson is the best prophet. why?= because he is called for THESE times. Listen to him.   I love you all and just pray that you too can savour the sweetness and joy that is the pure gospel of Jesus Christ.
The answer to all the hard questions is a question... "do I trust in God more than anything or anyone else?".   I do. do you?

Have a great week

Love,

Hermana Leah Tangedal
